<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a print medium caused by excessive tension, while achieving highly accurate conveyance of the print medium. <P>SOLUTION: A print medium conveyance device 40 includes a tractor 44, a conveyance roller 55, and a clutch mechanism 83. The tractor 44 are sequentially engaged with engagement holes arranged and formed on a paper sheet to convey the paper sheet in a predetermined conveyance direction X. The conveyance roller 55 is arranged on the downstream side of the tractor 44 in the conveyance direction X and a friction layer 59 in which inorganic particles are dispersed is formed on the surface of the conveyance roller 55. The clutch mechanism 83 is interposed between a conveyance motor 72 and the tractor 44 and intercepts at least a part of the transmission of drive force from the conveyance motor 72 to the tractor 44 under predetermined conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
