<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armor rod that falls between element wires of an outermost layer of an electric wire, and does not deteriorate an accessory attachment holding force. <P>SOLUTION: A cross section of each element wire 25 constituting an armor rod 20 has a bottom 26 that is contacted with a circumscribed circle 50 of an outermost layer element wire 15 constituting an electric wire 10.
