摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate characteristics of a transistor that supplies a current to a light emitting element with sufficient accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel circuit 110 includes: a first transistor 124 that supplies a current corresponding to a voltage between a gate and a source to an OLED 130; and the OLED 130 that emits light with luminance corresponding to the current supplied by the first transistor 124. The voltage between the gate and the source of the first transistor 124 is reset in an initialization period, and a threshold value voltage is set as the voltage therebetween in a threshold value compensation period. At timing when time corresponding to a gradation level has elapsed since a start of a writing period and at the timing accelerated in terms of time as gradation specified by the gradation level becomes darker, the voltage between the gate and the source of the first transistor 124 is changed by a voltage corresponding to the gradation.
