<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint that prevents the number of components from being increased, is easily manufactured, and prevents a cover from coming off from a socket even if an external force is applied to an intermediate section of the cover. <P>SOLUTION: The cover 4 includes a socket mounting section 41, a shaft mounting section 42, and the intermediate section 43 disposed between the socket mounting section 41 and shaft mounting section 42. The intermediate section 43 includes an extended section 43a at the socket mounting section 41 side, and a deformation section 43b at the shaft mounting section 42 side. The socket 3 includes an engagement section 32a engaged with the socket mounting section 41, and a suppression section 33 that is arranged in the cover 4 adjacently to the engagement section 32a and suppresses the deformation of the extended section 43a so as to prevent the engagement section 32a from being disengaged from the socket mounting section 41. The suppression section 33 is erected while being inclined from the engagement section 32a of the socket 3, the height D1 of the suppression section 33 is lower than the height D2 of the extended section 43a, and a space is disposed between the inside of the cover 4 and a free end of the suppression section 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
