PURPOSE: A high-hardness abrasive grain and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to manufacture dense alumina since moisture is reduced through the heat treatment of sol and the pores of alumina are minimized through the hot pressing of gel. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a high-hardness abrasive grain is as follows. The source material of an abrasive is dispersed to solvent, so dispersed solution is manufactured. The source material including de-flocculant and a doping element is added to the dispersed solution to form sol. The sol is heat-treated, so the moisture in the sol is reduced. Gel formed by heat treatment is hot-pressed, the moisture and pores of gel are reduced. The gel is crushed and plasticized. |
