<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent penetration of mold release agent into an elastic layer of a fixing roller and improve cleaning performance of the fixing roller by cleaning means when a fixing device is not operated. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device 30 includes a fixing roller 1 with an elastic layer and a pressure roller 2 abutting on the fixing roller 1 to form a fixing nip section. The fixing device 30 further includes: a mold release agent supply section 10 for supplying the mold release agent to the fixing roller 1; a cleaning member 11 for cleaning the surface of the fixing roller 1; and a pressing member 5 for making the cleaning member 11 abut on the fixing roller 1. The mold release agent supply section 10, the cleaning member 11 and the pressing member 5 are integrally separated from the fixing roller 1 when the fixing device 30 is not operated from a state of the cleaning member 11 abutting on the fixing roller 1 when the fixing device 30 is operated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
