<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding type mower, which is provided with a charcoal canister in a state where an operation such as inspection is easy while minimizing the size in the vehicle body longitudinal direction of a motor power unit in spite of that it is provided with an engine having an output shaft extended from an engine body downward of the vehicle body. <P>SOLUTION: The engine 21 is installed so that the output shaft 21c is located at a lateral center C of the vehicle body, and a cylinder 21a is located on one lateral side of the vehicle body relative to the lateral center C of the vehicle body.
