<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation support device which, by using images showing the periphery of a vehicle photographed by image pickup means fixed at a prescribed position of the vehicle, displays a user friendly operation support image for the driver. <P>SOLUTION: Image processing means cuts out from a rear periphery image of a vehicle photographed by image pickup means 1 installed at the back of a vehicle 40, a region corresponding to the rear of the vehicle 40 to generate a rear image therefrom, and also cuts out regions respectively corresponding to the right and left rear of the vehicle 40 to generate a right rear peripheral image and a left rear peripheral image therefrom. And it shows the rear periphery image in the lower part of display means and the right rear and left rear peripheral images side by side in the upper part of the display means. At this time, the right rear peripheral image is generated so that its display region will be vertically expanded as the view moves from a center part toward a right side part of the display means, and the left rear peripheral image is generated so that its display region will be vertically expanded as the view moves from a center part toward a left side part of the display means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
