<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small current detection device which can be easily assembled with a small number of constituent components without using a magnetic core. <P>SOLUTION: A measurement object current conductor 2 in which the measurement object current flows in its longitudinal direction has at least an almost strip shaped part having a prescribed thickness. A cut out 4 is formed to at least one of two long sides of the measurement object current conductor 2.
