<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developer capable of, even when being loaded in a high-speed and compact image forming apparatus and printing multiple sheets, retaining a charging capacity to a toner, preventing occurrences of fogging and contamination in the apparatus due to toner scattering, preventing cleaning failure, and continuously providing a high-quality print image, and to provide a manufacturing method of the two-component developer. <P>SOLUTION: The two-component developer comprises a toner formed by attaching an external additive to parent toner particles, and a carrier provided with a resin covering layer on a surface of core material particles. The core material particle comprises a ferrite having fine pores on the surface and the inside thereof. The bulk density of the carrier is 1.0 g/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>or more and 2.0 g/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>or less. The resin forming the resin covering layer includes an acrylic resin and the resin covering layer within a range from the surface of the core material particles to 0.2 μm includes a nitrogen element which is 0.1 pts.mass or more and 2.0 pts.mass or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
