<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure vessel configured to reduce weight while satisfying required design requirements. <P>SOLUTION: The pressure vessel includes: a polygonal upper wall (1); a polygonal bottom wall provided below the upper wall (1); a sidewall (2) provided between a peripheral edge of the upper wall (1) and a peripheral edge of the bottom wall; an upper curved surface portion (3) connecting the peripheral edge of the upper wall (1) with the upper end of the sidewall (2) via an outwardly convex curved surface; and a lower curved surface portion connecting the peripheral edge of the bottom wall with the lower end of the sidewall (2) via an outwardly convex curved surface. The thickness of an upper wall center portion (1a) at the center of the upper wall (1), the thickness of the upper curved surface portion (3), and the thickness of an upper wall annular portion (1b) formed between the upper wall center portion (1a) and the upper curved surface portion (3) decrease in this order. The thickness of a bottom wall center portion at the center of the bottom wall, the thickness of the lower curved surface portion, and the thickness of a bottom wall annular portion formed between the bottom wall center portion and the lower curved surface portion are formed to be smaller in this order. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
