An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption by decreasing alternating numbers of common voltages. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a liquid crystal panel(100), gate and source drivers(110,120), and a timing controller(130). The liquid crystal panel includes plural pixels forming a frame having even and odd frame parts. The gate driver supplies first and second scan signals to gate lines of the even and odd frame parts. The source driver supplies data voltage to data lines of the even and odd frame parts in response to the first and second scan signals respectively and controls the even and odd frame parts so as to have opposite polarities to each other. The timing controller controls the driving timing of the gate and source drivers. |
