<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance brightness of a displayed image while suppressing observer's perception of mixing of a right-eye image and a left-eye image. <P>SOLUTION: Each of control periods T, T1 and T2, is constituted of a right-eye display period PR and a left-eye display period PL. A driving circuit 40 supplies gradation potential X[n] corresponding to a right-eye image GR to each pixel PIX in each of three unit periods U within the right-eye display period PR and supplies the gradation potential X[n] corresponding to a left-eye image GL to each pixel PIX in each of the three unit periods U within the left-eye display period PL. The driving circuit 40 performs over-drive in two unit periods U from the beginning within each of display periods P (PR and PL). The driving circuit 40 sets a polarity of a voltage applied to each pixel PIX in the two unit periods U from the beginning within each of the display periods P to polarities reverse to each other in the right-eye displaying period PR of a control period T1 and in the right-eye displaying period PR of a control period T2 and to the polarities reverse to each other in the left-eye displaying period PL of the control period T1 and in the left-eye displaying period PL of the control period T2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
