<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a productivity-improved forming method which can efficiently be formed of a crystal plate, and simultaneously can form a plurality of crystal pieces excellent in outer dimensional accuracy in forming the crystal piece having no a drooped portion. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for forming a crystal piece whose at least one principal surface is mirrored. The method includes a crystal plate forming step for forming a crystal plate with a principal surface larger than that of the crystal piece, a lapping step for lapping the principal surface of the crystal plate, a polishing step for polishing the lapped principal surface of the crystal plate until the lapped principal surface of the crystal plate is mirrored and the plate thickness of the lapped crystal plate becomes equal to that of the crystal piece, and a grinding step for grinding a lateral surface of the polished crystal plate until a size of the polished principal surface of the crystal plate becomes equal to that of the crystal piece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
