<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air gap measurement device of an electric motor for accurately measuring an eccentricity and its direction of the air gap regardless of the type of the electric motor, and capable of adjusting the air gap on the basis of data on the eccentricity state of the air gap. <P>SOLUTION: A positional relationship between a motor main shaft and a circumference at an outer diameter of a rotor is measured in advance. An inner diameter of a stator is measured with a stator inner diameter measuring device 10. An axis of the main shaft after assembly of the rotor is measured with a main shaft axis measuring device, and then the air gap is calculated from the measured stator inner diameter and the positional relationship of the axis.
