<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crop sorting apparatus capable of preventing wrong detection caused by included small pieces or the like in carried objects which are classification targets and inclusion of small pieces in sorting compartments. <P>SOLUTION: The crop sorting apparatus includes: a washing part (2) supplying washed crops to a subsequent process along a carrying line (R); and a classification part (3) switching and carrying the received washed crops to a corresponding grading destination in accordance with the quality of the crops. The crop sorting apparatus further includes: a preceding sorting part (1) sorting the received washed crops in the carrying line (R) in a classification target range and supplying the crops to the subsequent process; and an acceptance/rejection determination device (5a) detecting appearance of the washed crops to determine whether or not predetermined appropriateness is satisfied.
