The invention comprises compounds of formula wherein X is H, NO or NH 2 ; R 2 , R 3 , R 4 and R 5 (of which at least 1 is other than H) are each H, halogen, CF 3 , C 1-6 alkyl or alkoxy or (C 1-6 alkoxy)-carbonyl; and R 6 is H or C 1-6 alkyl. These compounds are prepared by reacting the corresponding aniline with 4-vinylpyridine (possibly C 1-6 alkyl substituted), nitrosating the amine (X=H) so formed to the nitrosamine (X=NO) and reducing this to the hydrazine (X=NH 2 ).</p> |
