<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with reduced wiring loss capable of displaying high-resolution images, and a method of driving the same. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 1 includes a plurality of pixels, a scan line 51 provided for every two pixel rows, and an address line 71 provided for every pixel column. A pixel 11A includes a diode 112 which turns conductive in accordance with the electrical potential of the scan line 51, a capacitor 115 which maintains a voltage corresponding to the electrical potential of the address line 71 when the diode 112 is conductive, a TFT switch 114 which is turned on by the voltage of the capacitor 115, and an organic EL element 111 which illuminates when the TFT switch 114 turns on. A pixel 21A includes a diode 212 whose conduction state is kept opposite to that of the diode 112 in accordance with the electrical potential of the scan line 51, a capacitor 215 which maintains a voltage corresponding to the electrical potential of the address line 71 when the diode 212 is conductive, a TFT switch 214 which is turned on by the voltage of the capacitor 215, and an organic EL element 211 which illuminates when the TFT switch 214 turns on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
