<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and device for joining end faces of carcass ply material for pneumatic tire, which can achieve end face joining with high efficiency and high precision. <P>SOLUTION: The method for joining end faces of carcass ply material for pneumatic tire includes: rotating and displacing a molding drum 2 while an end part 3a of the carcass ply material 3 on a winding start end side is sucked by one suction means 4a of the molding drum 2; winding the carcass ply material 3 while an end part 3b on a winding dead end side is sucked by the other suction means 4b; allowing respective end parts 3a, 3b of start and end to get close to each other while the molding drum 2 is deformed by reducing the diameter thereof and also forming flexure parts 8 at the respective end parts 3a, 3b of the carcass ply material 3; and then allowing an outside drawing claw 6 and an inside drawing claw 5 to operate respectively to join the respective end faces 3c, 3d of start and end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
