PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which deposition of the adhering matter on a photoreceptor or an intermediate transfer body is suppressed, dark spots are hard to occur, and the decline in image quality is suppressed in a high temperature and high humidity environment.

SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a photoreceptor having undercoat layer which contains a metal oxide particle and a binder resin and whose film thickness is 7 μm or more and an outermost surface layer including a polymer of a reactive compound of general formula (II) or a reactive compound having a similar specified structure; a development device in which a developer including a toner having a particle size of 3 μm or more and 5.5 μm or less is housed; and a transfer device having an intermediate transfer body whose dynamic hardness is 29×109to 38×109N/m2. However, in the general formula (II), F represents a charge transporting skeleton, L' represents a linking group of the specified structure, m' represents an integer of 1 or more and 6 or less, and n represents an integer of 2 or more and 3 or less.
