<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a nonaqueous electrolyte with which a secondary battery having excellent storage characteristics at high temperature and high voltage cycle characteristics, or the like can be obtained; a lithium ion secondary battery including the nonaqueous electrolyte; and a module including the lithium ion secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte contains a nonaqueous solvent and an electrolyte salt. The nonaqueous solvent includes a fluorine-containing compound represented by general formula (1).
