<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exchange a defective disk in a magazine with an optical disk loaded by a changer system. <P>SOLUTION: A storage system has: a magazine with a plurality of portable recording media loaded therein; at least two drives for loading and ejecting the magazine to read and write a recording medium; and a changer mechanism for moving the recording medium between the magazine and the drives, exchanges a defective recording medium with a recording medium for exchange between a first magazine having a recording medium for exchange having a recording space in the magazine and a second magazine having a defective recording medium needing exchange in the magazine via the drives, restores data of the defective recording medium, and records the data in the recording medium for exchange. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
