<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bisnaphthalene sulfide-based compound having a high refractive index, and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The bisnaphthalene sulfide-based compound is represented by formula (I) (in the formula, R represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group). The method for producing the bisnaphthalene sulfide-based compound represented by the formula (I) includes a step of reacting 1,1' thiobis(2-naphthol) with (meth)acrylic acid halide expressed by H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>C=CR-CO-X in a solvent in the presence of a base, wherein R is H or CH<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, and X is a halogen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
