<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and quantitatively evaluate a roll feeling of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle 1 is rotated and the roll feeling of the vehicle is evaluated. A method of evaluating the roll feeling of the vehicle includes: a rotating step of rotating the vehicle 1 at an actual steering angle α° to one side from a neutral state, then rotating it at an actual steering angle -α° to the other side, and further rotating it to the neutral state; a measuring step of obtaining a roll waveform indicating a time change of a roll amount of the vehicle during the rotating step; and an evaluating step of evaluating the roll feeling from the roll waveform. In the evaluating step, from the roll waveform, a maximum roll position R1 on one side, a maximum roll position R2 on the other side, and a roll inflection point R3 at which a solution when differentiating the roll waveform twice is 0 are obtained. The roll feeling is evaluated on the basis of a ratio t1/t2 of travel time t1 from the maximum roll position R1 on one side to the roll inflection point R3 and travel time t2 from the roll inflection point R3 to the maximum roll position R2 on the other side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
