<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential device that facilitates the feasibility of a spring while achieving improvement in durability. <P>SOLUTION: The differential device includes: pinion gears 7, 8 rotatably supported by a pinion shaft 5 in a differential case 3; and a pair of side gears 9, 11 freely relatively rotatably supported in the differential case 3 in order to engage with the pinion gears 7, 8. Spherical convex rear surfaces 9a, 11a are formed on the pinion gears 7, 8 and the side gears 9, 11. Spherical pinion gear concave support surfaces 17, 19 and spherical side gear concave support surfaces 21, 23 are formed on the inner surface of the differential case 3 in order to respectively rotatably and slidably support the spherical convex rear surfaces 7a, 8a, 9a, and 11a of the pinion gears 7, 8 and those of the side gears 9, 11. A spring member 59 is interposed between the side gears 9, 11. The spherical convex rear surfaces 9a, 11a of the side gears 9, 11 are urged against the spherical side gear concave support surfaces 21, 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
