<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disconnection between an internal lead terminal and an external lead terminal and disconnection of a metal film at a substrate corner. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting device (10A) comprises: an LED chip (12); and a ceramic support (14) on which the LED chip (12) is placed. The ceramic support (14) comprises: a placing surface (14d) on which the LED chip (12) is placed; internal terminals (22a, 22b) provided on the placing surface (14d); a rear surface (14c) facing the placing surface (14d); a mounting surface (14b) provided between the placing surface (14d) and the rear surface (14c); and external terminals (28a, 28b) provided on the mounting surface (14b).
