<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce power loss of an entire system in an AC motor in which a rectangular wave control is actively used to keep a current phase on optimum current lead angle line or vicinity thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A motor control system 10 comprises: a converter 20 which can step up/down a DC voltage from a battery 11; an inverter 22 which converts the stepped-up DC voltage by the converter 20 into an AC voltage; an AC motor M1 which is driven by the AC voltage applied from the inverter 22; and a control unit 26 by which an operation control of the converter 20 and the inverter 22 is performed according to an inputted torque command value so that a drive control of the AC motor is possible with a plurality of control methods such as a rectangular wave control. When the AC motor M1 is under the rectangular wave control, the control unit 26 calibrates a system voltage command value VH* so that a current phase (id, iq) of a current vector on a d-axis q-axis plane of motor current flowing in the AC motor M1 comes close to optimum current lead angle line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
