<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content output device which is capable of providing additional information while effectively reducing the power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The content output device includes: content determination means 5 which determines whether a video image content is included in an output object content or not; a main video image display unit 18 which is capable of displaying a video image content and additional information relating to the output object content; an auxiliary display unit 15 capable of displaying the additional information; and a body control unit 17 which, if it is determined by the content determination means 5 that any video image content is not included in the output object content, does not display the additional information on the main video image display unit 18 but displays the additional information on the auxiliary display unit 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
