<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified conjugated diene polymer composition, which exhibits an excellent affinity for inorganic fillers, the vulcanizate of which has an excellent balance between wet skid properties and low hysteresis loss properties, and which is high in wear resistance and fracture strength. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a modified conjugated diene polymer comprises the processes of: polymerizing a conjugated diene compound or copolymerizing the conjugated diene compound with an aromatic vinyl compound by using a polyfunctional anionic polymerization initiator having 1.2-3.5 molecular weight distribution, when measured by using gel permeation chromatography (GPC), to obtain a conjugated diene polymer; reacting a modifying agent (A) having (I) four or more alkoxyl groups, each of which is bonded to a silyl group, and one or more nitrogen atoms with a polymerization-active terminal of the conjugated diene polymer; and reacting another modifying agent (B) having (II) two or three alkoxyl groups, each of which is bonded to the silyl group, and having one or more nitrogen atoms, with the polymerization-active terminal of the conjugated diene polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
