<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member capable of accurately monitoring light power of a surface-emitting laser. <P>SOLUTION: The optical member includes: an incident region 11 where light emitted from a light-emitting element is made incident; a branch region Z10 for branching the light made incident from the incident region 11 into a first direction and a second direction; a monitor light emitting region 13 for emitting the light branched into the first direction to the outside; and a communication light emitting region 14 for emitting the light branched into the second direction to the outside. The monitor light emitting region 13 is optically connected to an external optical monitor and the light branched into the first direction is made to reach the monitor light emitting region 13 without changing an optical path to shorten the optical path after branching light for monitoring and accurately monitor light power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
