<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a temperature of ink with a good followability. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device is equipped with a nozzle plate having a nozzle for discharging liquid and a diode for detecting the temperature. The nozzle plate is formed of a semiconductor and the diode is formed by a P-type semiconductor and an N-type semiconductor generated by adding a predetermined material to the nozzle plate. The liquid discharge device is equipped with a temperature detection unit for detecting the temperature in accordance with voltage drop in the diode, and a discharge control unit for controlling the discharging of the liquid based on the temperature detected by the temperature detection unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
