<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously prevent the engagement of a tongue with respect to a buckle through insertion other than with a forward attitude of the tongue and allows the approach to the buckle button even when the buckle button functioning as an engagement-releasing button is covered with the tongue. <P>SOLUTION: The mechanism consists of: a tongue plate 1 having a tongue 3 into which one end of a seat belt is inserted; and a buckle device 10 equipped with a buckle which is arranged on the upper part near a side part of a seat and detachably engaged with the tongue plate 1 and with the buckle button 13 which releases the engagement. The tongue plate 1 is provided with a button covering part 6 having a key hole part 7 for operation which allows the operation by an ignition key IG while not allowing the buckle button 13 to be manually operated when the tongue 3 is engaged with the buckle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
