<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus which reduces the number of components for ensuring tamper resistance and utilizes an essential component thereby making analysis from the exterior difficult. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 1 has a housing 2 and a printed board 3 fixed to the interior of the housing. A power source 6, a storage part 7 for storing confidential information, an encryption module 8 for encrypting and decrypting the confidential information, and a control part 9 for controlling the encryption module are mounted on the printed board.
