<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deformation of a chromatic toner image upon fixing a transparent toner layer to a recording sheet. <P>SOLUTION: After a full-color toner image formed on an intermediate transfer belt 8 by an electrophotographic process is transferred onto a recording sheet and fixed by a fixing device 20, a transparent toner layer is formed in a given region on the recording sheet by a transparent toner layer forming unit 100. The transparent toner layer forming unit 100 forms a transparent toner layer consisting of a transparent toner essentially comprising a pressure-plastic resin. A fixing means to fix the transparent toner layer to the recording layer comprises a pressurizing fixing roller pair 195 that pressurizes the transparent toner layer without heating it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
