<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic giving tension and stiffness, in particular voluminous touch to weakened hair damaged by chemical treatment or to hair thinned by a decline with aging. <P>SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic includes at least a cationic surfactant and pyrrolidone sodium carboxylate.
