LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having excellent low-temperature output characteristics.

SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery comprises: a collector 12; and an active material layer 14 which is held by the collector 12 and which includes active material particles 30 and conductive materials 16. Each of the active material particles 30 has: a shell portion made of a lithium transition metal oxide; a hollow portion formed inside the shell portion; and a through-hole penetrating through the shell portion. The conductive materials 16 included in the active material layer 14 are arranged inside the hollow portion of each of the active material particles as well as between the active material particles 30.
