<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a secondary battery which can be charged/discharged at high rate. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a secondary battery, negative electrode slurry including a negative electrode active material, carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and styrene-butadiene rubber is imparted on a negative electrode collector and dried to form a negative electrode active material layer. The CMC has a weight average molecular weight of 30×10<SP POS="POST">4</SP>or more and 40×10<SP POS="POST">4</SP>or less. An amount of the CMC included in the negative electrode active material layer is in a range of 0.6-0.8 mass%. The negative electrode active material has an O/C value of 1.0 or less, the O/C value being a value of a ratio between an oxygen element and a carbon element and obtained by means of an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy on a surface of a particle thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
