<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device which can properly perform presentation of an efficient traveling method for a user at optimal timing, when the user freely travels by him/herself. <P>SOLUTION: A navigation device comprises: traveling path recording means 23; free travel start point recording means 24 for recording a free travel start point; free travel end detection means 25 for detecting an end of free travel; free travel end point recording means 26 for recording a free travel end point; route search control means 27 for controlling route search means 21 to search for an optimal route between free travel points which is an optimal route from the free travel start point to the free travel end point, before disconnecting a power supply 9; and optimal route between free travel points presentation means 28 for presenting the obtained optimal route between the free travel points to a user before disconnecting the power supply 9 when the obtained optimal route between the free travel points is different from a traveling path in a free travel section recorded by the traveling path recording means 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
