<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus suppressing image deterioration caused by execution of predetermined handling for a consumable item for use in an image forming process, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: When predetermined handling is executed to a consumable item for use in an image forming process (Step 406), an image quality adjusting value is updated (Step 426) on the basis of a difference (Step 418) between inspection image information obtained by reading an inspection image formed on a recording medium by a CCD sensor (Step 416) and reference image information representing a reference image equivalent to the inspection image subject to the reading, such that the quality of the image to be formed on the recording medium P approximates to the quality of the reference image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
