<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wire from buckling when a terminal connected thereto is inserted into a connector and engages therewith, by increasing the strength of the conductor of a thin wire. <P>SOLUTION: The wire for automobile consists of a conductor of a single core wire having a cross sectional area of less than 0.22 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, and an insulation coating layer coating the conductor. The wire for automobile has an external diameter of less than 0.9 mm, and a mass of less than 2.0 g/m. Preferably, the conductor of the single core wire has a circular cross section, contains at least 95 mass% of copper and required elements. The conductor has a tensile strength of 450 MPa or higher, and a modulus of longitudinal elasticity of 110 GPa or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
