<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a pipe taper tap with which a tapered female screw thread having suitable depth can be threaded without using a thread gauge although the threading work to the suitable depth is hardly visualized by means of the conventional pipe taper tap and work efficiency becomes worse since the threading work is done while confirming the depth with the thread gauge. <P>SOLUTION: The diameter of a shank part of the pipe taper tap is made larger than that of an edge-shaped part thereof. As a result, when the shank part is contacted with a workpiece, the advance of the pipe taper tap can be stopped or interrupted, so that the tapered female screw thread having suitable depth can be threaded with the pipe taper tap. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
