<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which can improve a fuel cost-lowering property, wet-gripping performance and dry gripping performance in a good balance, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition for various portions (especially tread) of the tire. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises a rubber component comprising a copolymer which is obtained by copolymerizing 1,3-butadiene, styrene and a specific alkoxy-substituted styrene derivative compound, has an amino group at one of the terminal ends and a functional group containing at least one atom selected from the group consisting of N, O and Si at the other, and has a weight-average molecular weight of 1.0×10<SP POS="POST">5</SP>-2.5×10<SP POS="POST">6</SP>, and silica in which the average length W<SP POS="POST">1</SP>between branched particles Z-Z containing branched particle Z is 30-400 nm, wherein the branched particle Z has one particle and three or more adjacent particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
