<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an error detection rate. <P>SOLUTION: An error-correction coding device comprises a linear coding section 102 and an LDPC coding section 103. The linear coding section 102 supports a linear coding system, by which a parity check can be performed by a division using a generator polynomial, and obtains linear coded data by applying the generator polynomial to input data.
