PURPOSE: A dual mass flywheel is provided to improve shock-absorbing and damping performance of a damping unit since the damping unit is made of complex elastic materials. CONSTITUTION: A dual mass flywheel(1) comprises a first mass(3), a second mass(5), and a damping unit(7). The first mass is mounted on the crank shaft of an automotive engine. The second mass is mounted on the clutch shaft of an automobile transmission to be coupled with the first mass. The damping unit is allowed between the first mass and the second mass. The damping unit damps the rotary vibration generated between the first mass and the second mass. The damping unit is made of a complex elastic material comprising f two or more materials having different coefficient of elasticity. |
