The reservoir (2) has a connector (8) placed at a lower part of a container (6) for connecting the container to a master cylinder (10) for supporting the master cylinder. Shape of the container, the connector and/or position of the connection relative to the container are configured to allow a swing of the reservoir in event of contact of the reservoir with a cap (4) of the vehicle at the time of a pedestrian shock on the cap. The container includes an upper face with a highest portion, which is horizontally shifted relative to the connector to allow the swing of the reservoir. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle.
