PURPOSE: A flat-type sealing device of an underwater mounting azimuth thruster and a loading method thereof are provided to easily load the sealing device in a narrow space and to reduce damage to the device and human resources. CONSTITUTION: A flat-type sealing device of an underwater mounting azimuth comprises a fixed part(1) and a detaching part(2). The fixed part is fixed on a ship body of a general merchant ship like a drill ship and surrounds the upper part of an area where the underwater mounting azimuth thruster is installed. The detaching part is detachably installed at the top of the fixed part, and a flat-shaped body is coupled to the fixed part to form a watertight structure.
