<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-softening amino-functional polysiloxane having low viscosity and high storage stability. <P>SOLUTION: The amino-functional polysiloxane exhibiting only a small over-time change in the viscosity is obtained by reacting a constituent (A), identical or different terminal-hydroxy-functional straight or branched polysiloxanes, a constituent (B), identical or different alkoxysilanes of formula R<SP POS="POST">1</SP><SB POS="POST">x</SB>R<SP POS="POST">2</SP><SB POS="POST">3-x</SB>SiR<SP POS="POST">3</SP>...(I), and a constituent (C), water, in the presence of a constituent (D), a plurality of Bronsted acidic compounds that contains phosphorus.
