<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the dimension of the inside diameter of a relatively small-diameter tube. <P>SOLUTION: A dimension measuring instrument includes: an insertion part 1 to be inserted inside a tube; a sensor part 11 that is provided in the insertion part 1 and measures the radial dimension from a predetermined position to the inner surface of the tube, with it is disposed inside the tube; and a sensor-part moving mechanism 12 that is provided in the insertion part 1 and moves the sensor part 11 in the radial direction of the tube. Even when having a compact sensor part 11 to be inserted into a relatively small diameter tube, which has small sensitivity (having a narrow measuring range H), the dimension measuring instrument can measure the tube inside diameter in a sufficient range by moving the sensor part 11 in the radial direction of the tube.
