摘要 The present invention provides a manufacturing method of a light-emitting device including the steps of bringing a nozzle 13 that is communicated with a tank 14 for storing coating liquid 17 to be an organic electroluminescent (EL) layer and discharges the coating liquid 17 supplied from the tank 14 near a body-to-be-coated 19 that includes a support substrate arranged above the nozzle 13; bringing the coating liquid 17 discharged from the nozzle 13 in contact with the body-to-be-coated 19; and applying the coating liquid 17 to make a film thereof by relatively moving the body-to-be-coated 19 and the nozzle 13 in a state that the coating liquid 17 is in contact with the body-to-be-coated 19 to form the organic EL layer. After bringing the coating liquid 17 in contact with the body-to-be-coated 19 and before relatively moving the body-to-be-coated 19 and the nozzle 13, while maintaining the state that the coating liquid 17 is in contact with the body-to-be-coated 19, the tank 14 is lowered to below a position of the tank 14 for relative movement between the body-to-be-coated 19 and the nozzle 13 to be started, and then the tank 14 is raised back to the position of the tank 14 for the relative movement between the body-to-be-coated 19 and the nozzle 13 to be started. Thus, a manufacturing method of a light-emitting device is provided that can form an organic EL layer in which unevenness of the film thickness is suppressed by a capillary coating method.
