<p>The present invention relates to a perforating fluid composition that is capable of increasing the penetration rate of a drill in carbonate rocks comprising basically an aqueous perforating fluid comprised of viscosifiers, filtrate controllers, clay-swelling inhibitors, alkalinizers, lubricants, thickeners and water, said perforating fluid containing a cationic salt of polyaminocarboxylic acid, preferably the potassium salt of DTPA (diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid), for the purpose of acting as a chelating chemical additive for dissolving calcium carbonate.</p> |
